Question:
I have a large 12 gallon crock, that measures about 19 to 22 inches tall (it is currently in storage). It has the number 12 with a bee sting below it. I am trying to find out if this is Red Wing. Also, what would the approximent value be? I have attached a photo. It is in perfect condition. Thanks, Toni Campbell
Answer: Tony, your 12 gallon salt glazed crock looks to be either Western or Ohio and not Red Wing. It is still a nice piece, but just would not be comfortable in placing a value on it as I don’t know the markets on the other stoneware companies. Al Kohlman
