Question:
I have an 8 gal, Red Wing water cooler, complete with a metal stand. The wing measurement is 4", the cooler is 18" tall. It is in excellent condition with the exception of the lid – it has a crack that has been repaired and a piece missing from the edge. The crock itself has both handles, and a spout – there are no visible markings. I would like to know the approximate value and how I can go about selling it. I acquired it from a country school (The Starr School) in Stoughton, WI. Thank you so much for the information. Rose

Answer: Rose, your 8 gallon Red Wing water cooler would have a value between $500 & $650. With the damage on the lid, the lid itself would have a very low value. To bad as that lid alone, if perfect could have fetched $350 to $400. Best places to sell it would be the advertising section here on the Red Wing Collectors Society web site. However, you could use eBay or Craigslist. Your biggest draw back will be shipping, so hopefully someone would live close enough for a pick up. Al Kohlman
