Question:
I received this 6 gallon crock as a gift but it does not look like any other Red Wing crock that I have, is it a Red Wing? The number 6 is in much different print then I have see before. Chasity

Answer: Chasity, you have a Ford Dodge piece out of Iowa. Red Wing bought out the Plymouth Clay Products Company of Ford Dodge, Iowa and operated it from 1909 to 1911. They used the birch leaves instead of the Plymouth Chicken as their trademark during this period. Al Kohlman
