I have a 5 gal. crock that I need to know where the best place to sell would be. (need money for bills) It’s made by "Dauffenbach & Stechert Mfg. Co" New Ulm MN. I know it’s not a redwing, but I was hoping they went well together. Has a very minor chip on lip and is stained. No cracks or hairlines. Thanks Jerry

Answer: Jerry, I know your 5 gallon Daufeenbach & Stechert crock as it has been floated by me a couple of days ago. I collect Wisconsin Stoneware and this is why they passed the photo by me. The best place to sell your crock is on the Red Wing Collectors Classified ads. There is a Red Wing Collector (at least one for sure) that is a die hard New Ulm collector that would love to have this piece. You can contact Stacy at the Red Wing Collectors Society Business Office and she can post your ad fairly quickly. It’s a wonderful piece and if it was Wisconsin, I would be all over it. Al Kohlman
