Question:
I have a David Hallum crock that reads: "MINN. POTTERY D. HALLUM 3 RED WING". It is 9 3/4"H x 10 1/4"W. It has two small base chips. There are no other chips or cracks. How many of these exist? I know the museum at the Pottery Place has one (or has had one) and I’ve been told that another person owns two. What is the value of something like this? Thank you.Bret
Answer: Bret, you have an extremely rare piece here. I have no idea of how many were ever produced or how many have been found. On value. the last one I seen in a book was valued at $10,000. Quite a fine, you make me jealous! Al Kohlman
