Question:
I have 3 crocks 10, 15, and 20. All are in good condition with no chips. All three have the redwing seal, wing décor and the number. The 20 no longer has the handles and the other two never had handles. The 20 also has “Patent Applied For” stamped above where the handle should be hung from. I was wondering the approximate year and value of the crocks. The redwing seal on all three are identical. They were found in a shed on the 100 year old family farm in central Wisconsin and we are unsure when or where they were purchased. Thank you for your time. Chris

Answer: Chris, all three of your crocks are quite early. 1909 to 1915. They have the large 6 inch wings ,and block numbers. The decorations are well balanced and nicely marked. You have what the collectors love! 10 & 15 gallon in perfect condition $350 to $375 each. The 20 with the "Patent Applied For" $400 to $425. They look great and make a very nice set. I collect mostly salt glaze, but have a 12 gallon with the block letters and 6 inch wing and it is just one of those pieces that is just so striking, that I had to keep it in my collection. Al Kohlman
