Question:
I have an old stoneware jug that was found, buried with a brown topped whiskey jug, under the porch of my parents’ farmhouse. The word "Redwing" is drawn into the clay on the bottom before it was fired rather than stamped. The handle of the jug is rather crudely attached. I haven’t been able to find a comparison piece to estimate it’s is worth,if anything. There are no other marks on it. Carrie

 

Answer: Carrie, I would need to see a photo of this jug and the signature in order to have an idea of what you may have and it’s value.
