Question:
I just purchased a 10 Gal. Red Wing Water cooler, and I was woundering if you help with some information about it. It has a indentation down the front. Richard

Answer: Richard, your Red Wing Water Cooler was manufactured between 1915 & 1930. That indentation line is really a mold line. Your 10 gallon cooler was molded in two pieces and then fused together and fired. Molding stoneware was found to increase production from the old hand turned stoneware. So as demand for stoneware increased, molding was used to keep up with the demand. An now you know. Al Kohlman
