Question:
I have a Red Wing 8 gallon Self Draining Jar, has one chip at bottom and one hairline about 8" long from top by handle boss. There is no lid. I have pictures of damage, but your site would only allow one. First, what were these used for, and in today’s market in this condition, what is its value? Thanks in advance. Bob
Answer: Bob, you have a Red Wing 10 gallon Self Draining jar and not an 8. These jars were used for dispensing chemicals in hardware stores and chemical companies. With the hairline and chip, the value is between $150 & $200 in today’s economy. Al Kohlman
