Question:
have a redwing churn 13 inches tall , 9 inches wide , patened in 1914 , NO 3 ON IT with handles . it is 86 yrs old today. any idea of value . thanks Roz
Answer: Roz, the patented date is really, 1915 and that is for the handles. So your Red Wing churn could have been produced much later. They made these churns through the 1930′s & into the 40′s. If they had handles, they all of them would have this patented date. If your churn is in perfect condition (you didn’t mention a lid, so I take it that you do not have one) the value would be between $75 & $125. Any damage and you would need to cut that value in half. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
