Question:
Hi, I bought this 8 Gal Butterfly crock at an estate sale and would like to know the apprx. age and current value. I did see a couple small chips out of the Butterfly as the Butterfly isn’t flush with the crock like the number 8 is and does stand out. There are no other chips, cracks or stains in the crock. I thought it was beautiful!! Any info would be appreciated. Barb
Answer: Barb, your 8 gallon butterfly would have a $1000 to $1200 value. It was produced between 1867 & 1895. Nice piece. Al Kohlman
