It is a brown stoneware jug with lid and missing the original handle. If you could give me a reasonable estimate or if any of yor members are interested let me know. Answer: Arthur, your jar looks to be an Minnesota Stoneware bean pot. I am quite sure that lid is not original though. In mint condition they sell for around $80 with the handle and lid. Without the handle and lid, value would be around $60. We are not allowed to sell on this site and therefore you would need to either take out an ad in the Red Wing news letter or eBay it.
