Question:
I have a 5 Gallon jug that was handed down to me. It has the cork still in it. No cracks or chips. I noticed the #5 in not on the side like all the others Ive seen online.Its on the top. Hope the picture helps..Could this be the rare one worth MILLIONS??? haha!! Thanks Dan
Answer: Sorry Dan, not worth millions. I have a few of these that I will let you have for around $500,000 though. Your 5 gallon jug was produce around 1909 or so. With the number on the dome, it was most likely produced by a potter who had originally worked for the Minnesota Stoneware Company and then came to the Red Wing Stoneware Company when they merged. Value $150 to $175 in perfect condition. Al Kohlman
