Question:
Hi, I have a 20 gallon Red Wing crock with the 6" wing, both handles are in tact, but it is minus the lid. Glaze is unknown to me? Unfortuneately, it has a hair line crack in the very bottom. I would still like to know its history. When it was made and the approximate value? It has been in my husband’s family forever. Thank you for your time. Sharon

Answer: Sharon, a 20 gallon Red Wing crock with a 6 inch wing and wire handles had to be manufactured right around 1915. With the hairline in the bottom value would be around $100 if the hairline is not to large. Al Kohlman
