Question:
I have a 5 gal. 1915 patent marking large wing crock. The wing is above the 5 and the oval is on the bottom. The crock used to have metal handles but theve rusted out for the most part. I have been in a lot of antique stores but have never seen another crock with the wing on top. Is this rare or does it add much value? Mitch
Answer: Mitch if you have a 5 gallon Red Wing crock with the Red Wing above the number 5, they yes, this would be an oddity. Value could range any where from $150 to $300 or even more (or less). Would need to see a photo – email to director@redwingcollectors.org – and know condition to give you a better idea. Al Kohlman
