Question:
I have 3 brown pitchers that are possibly North Star Grape Trellis pitchers. All are 4 7/8" across top & 9 1/4" top to bottom. 1)high gloss glaze brown with gray interior bottom brown with raised star. 2)dull brown inside & out white bottom with raised star. 3)high gloss glaze brown with gray interior brown bottom raised star. Are these North Star pitchers? Phyllis

Answer: Phyllis, your Grape Trellis pitchers are not Red Wing. You can find a little information on them in the Collector’s Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware. However, where they were produced is no mentioned. Al Kohlman
