Question:
Would like info on two crocks in family for 2 generations. Photos attached. Union Stoneware 20 gallon with small handles and brown crock with usa etched in bottom and stamped crown with 5(gallons?) and Ferryville or Perryville usa-stamp is blurred. Thank you Hugh

Answer: Your have a 5 gallon Crown crock. It was manufactured by National Pottery which operated in Roseville,Ohio, likely circa 1900-1925. It is not a Red Wing piece. Value on these crocks are quite low. Maybe $25 to $30. Your other 20 gallon crock not pictured here (did see a photo of it which was emailed to me) is a 20 gallon Minnesota Stoneware Company Birch Leaf crock. It was most likely manufactured between 1895 & 1906. In mint condition & the blue ink it has a value around $250. It is a gorgeous crock with great markings. Al Kohlman
