Question:
I am trying to find out idea of the value of the Red Wing Blue Banded Butter Crock that has been in my family from time of purchase – my grandfather in early 1900′s had a greenhouse near Red Wing Pottery Factory. This Butter Crock has been gently used. I will try to upload 4 pictures. First is front-chip on top right but when looking from top hardly noticeable. Also on wing about 1" in from wing there is a very very fine .crack going from there to top edge. (but not showing at all from the inside). Picture 2 from the back – showing only other chip again very small on the top right – on very edge of top of crock. Pictures 3 & 4 as you can see are inside and bottom. Thanks. phone 715-634-4112

Its 5inches by 7inches

Answer: From the size you gave me, it sounds like you have a 5 pound Red Wing pantry jar. This is the most common size and has lowest value of the others. With the chips, hairline and no lid, the value would be between $150 & $200. Al Kohlman
