Question:
I have a 11 inch high, 10 1/2 inch diameter solid grey glazed crock with lid. Lid has number 3 imbeded in the 2 inch raised center circle of the lid. Down the side is a blue number 3. Under that is a red undistinquisable symbol, probably red wing. Under that is a blue oval, inside the oval it says:
Red Wing Union Stoneware Co
Red Wing Minn
No other marks found. Any historical info and value you can share will be appreciated. This was my mothers who was born and raised in Duluth, Mn Thanks
Answer: You mother has a Red Wing Stoneware Company 3 gallon crock with lid. With the wording in the oval, I would say this crock was manufactured between 1920 & 1930. Value on the crock if in mint condition is $50 to $75. The lid value is between $100 & $125 if in mint condition as well. Al Kohlman
