Question:
I have a large crock of unknown age. It has a red wing on the front and a design in blue above the wing that may designate the number 5. At the lower part of the crock in blue letters are the words: Red Wing Union Stoneware Company Red Wing, Minnesota Just below one handle are the words PATENTED Dec 21, 1915 It appears to be an authentic Red Wing crock but as it was given to me with no information I do not know if it is authentic. It is approximately 13 inches high. Any information on age and authenticity would be appreciated. Marilyn

Answer: Marilyn, you have an authentic Red Wing 5 gallon stoneware crock. Your crock was manufactured between 1915 & 1930. Al Kohlman
