This small stoneware teapot has a star mark on the bottom. Can you tell me if this is old or not? If so, is that the mark of North Star? Doug

Answer: Doug, first of all your teapot does look vintage. The style of the teapot is not North Star. There were a number of stoneware companies that used a star to mark their ware. Not sure who made this teapot, but could see where someone would look at the star and think otherwise. Al Kohlman
