Answer: Patricia, you can clean the inside or outside of your crock with a good soapy water mix or even paint stripper. It will not affect the finish or any thing you put in the crock if it is rinsed well after you are finished cleaning it. If it has a lime stain, I use Lime-way gel toilet bowl cleaner to remove it.
