Question:
I have a crock that was from my grandmother. It is a Blue Band Stoneware. It has a blue band around the top with a large number 5 in the middle. I am guessing it is a 5 gallon crock. Can you tell me anything about this item. Is there any value to this item. It is at least guessing 50 years old. I am unable to include a picture. Any information would be appreciated. Thank You! Answer: Gloria, your blue banded crock would be a 5 gallon size. That is what the number 5 stands for. It is not a Red Wing piece. I do not have any information on the blue banded crocks and could not in all fairness place a value on it. Sorry I was of little help. Al Kohlman
