Question:
We have often wondered about the age and value of our two redwings. One being a 25 gal. with the Union Stoneware Co., Red Wing, Minnesota logo. The 10 gal also bears the same stamp. We are in the process of getting a digital camera and will be able to provide photos within the next few days. They are both in excellent condition. We are using the 25 gal. for a table with glass top on our back porch and the 10 gal. for my office waste container. Maybe I need to rethink the use of both if they are collectors. Anyway, thank you in advance for any info you may provide. Please let me know if I should send photos. Thank you Daniel

Answer: Daniel, without seeing a photo of your two crocks, it is hard for me to give you an estimate age. However, there is value here. The 25 gallon Red Wing if in mint condition and nice markings would have a value between $300 & $350. The 10 gallon Red Wing in mint condition is worth between $100 & $150. If you would like to send photos you may do so to Stacy Wegner, RWCS director, at director@redwingcollector.org. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
