I have a large jug. It is about 12 inches across and 18 1/2 inches high. It is a light beige/gray/ It has the letter 5 on it and below that a gold wing and further down, Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing, MN. It has a handle towards the top and about a 1 1/2 opening on top. It has a red redge around it as it narrows toward the top. It seems to be in perfect shape. What might it be worth and where would I sell it. Mary

Answer: Mary, you have a 5 gallon Red Wing shoulder jug. In mint condition in today’s ecomony, the value is around $50. The red stain around the shoulder of the jug should be removed or lighten up. I would scrub this red area with a good detergent and then apply a rag soaked in bleach to lay on this area for about 10 minutes. Be sure to rinse the area the bleach soaked rag laid on soon after removal. The best way to sell this jug may be Craigslist. This is a low end piece and you really to not want to spend much money on ads and selling fees. Al Kohlman
