Hi, I picked up a crock at a garage sale this week in coon Rapids Minnesota. It stands about 7 inches tall and measures 6 1/4 on the bottom. It has one chunk out towards the bottom, but other than that it seems like it’s in pretty good shape. It must have had a lid at one time? I happended to show it to one of your members (whom I just met today by happenstance) and he told me about your site. I was suprised when I saw the age of the item. Any info would be appeciated. Especially the value – of course :)

Answer: With only seeing the bottom of your piece, I do not know if it is a Preserve/Snuff jar or a wax sealer? Either way, the values are about the same. In mint condition and signed on the bottom $50 to $60. You will need to reduce the value a little because of the chip. The signature is very nice by the way. Al Kohlman
