Question:
I recently acquired this pot from a yard sale and have been researching it to find its origin and value. It’s a two gallon Union Stoneware, Minn., brown glaze on the interior, cobalt blue ’2′ on the front. No other markings. I’ve reached an impasse. Any help? Thank You, J. Panarese

Answer: Panarese, the crock you have photoed is just to soiled for me to see what you have. You mention that it is a Union Stoneware, Minn crock. How do you know this? You mention a cobalt 2 and no other markings. If this is the case, then I really need to know where the Union Stoneware information came from. Is there an oval on the crock, that states this or is it bottom signed? Also, try cleaning it up to see what other markings or damage is on the piece. Please send me a new photo after it is cleaned and let me know where the Union Stoneware information came from. This all makes a different. thanks Al Kohlman
