Based on the mark shown in the oval – I believe the production date was 1917 – 1918. This measures 18" tall no cracks or chips. Just curious as to approx value range. Your help is much appreciated
Answer: Your Red Wing 5 gallon shoulder jug has the small wing and potteries oval. This dates your jug between 1936 & 1947. These later shoulder jugs were produced in very large numbers and therefore the value reflects that. In today’s market the value on your jug is around $50. Al Kohlman
