Question:
I have a very old pottery cookie jar purchased at an Estate Sale. I was told that it was RED WING but there are no markings. It stands 9.4" and has a circumference of 22" around. The opening on the top is 4". There are handles one on each side of the jar. There is a red edging around the top and on the knob on the cover. Design on the front.
Answer: The cookie jar is not Red Wing and the flowers look to be painted (cold painted) on it. I have seen a number of these cookie jars, but have no idea of value. Al Kohlman
