Question:
I have another crock that I am trying to get information on. It is cracked but I had never seen one like this before. Can you give me any information?

Answer: You have a 5 gallon salt glaze churn with a lazy 8 target mark. From what I can see it looks to be Red Wing. However, Western Stoneware produced these as well. They were produced any where from 1867 to 1895. The decoration is quite common in salt glaze and do not carry the higher values as do leaves, butterflies and rib cages. Value in the condition it is in as I see it. $150 to $175. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
