Answer: Your Red Wing 40 gallon Birch leaf crock was manufactured between 1895 & 1909. With the wire around the crock which I see is located under the rim tells me that it must have a crack in it. In mint condition the value would be $800 to $1000 for your piece. With a crack, the value would drop to at least half or even greater depending on how large the crack and where it is located.
