Question:
I have a 3 gallon redwing jug that has the 3 on the tome part, a 2 7/8" oval, and a 4" wing. The jug must of came in contact with another piece prior to firing or during which has caused a rough blotch about the size of a quarter. No cracks, chips, or crazing. The markings are not as dark as others I’ve seen but very readable and complete. Can you roughly date this and approximize the value? Let me know if you need to see a pic & I’ll see what I can do…

Answer: Your 3 gallon Red Wing jug with the gallon-age on the dome was produced between 1912 & 1915. Value would be between $100 & $125. Al Kohlman
