Question:
I have two of these Utah Liquor Company crocks that were made by Redwing. I am trying to find an approximate value. I did find one article online describing the crock. I have attached the web address of the article and attached the picture of what mine look like. The article also mentions that there are only believed to be 15 to 20 of these crocks. Can you verify that? Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you! http://www.fohbc.com/PDF_Files/UtahLiquorCompany.pdf

Answer: April, if your Red Wing Safety Valve Jar is bottom signed, the value can range between $600 & $700. Unsigned and you are looking at about half this in value. There is a ledger that list how many of these advertising pieces were produced. However, this ledger is quite large and there is not index to help you find the information quickly. You must go page to page and read all of the advertising to find them. For me, it would take to much time to research every piece of Red Wing advertising produced for those who would like to know how many were made. Also, just because you find it produced on one page and it states that only 20 where ordered, you may need to research further as companies did re-order a year later or even yearly, so the numbers may be higher than one would think. Hope this helps some. It is a good piece of Red Wing advertising with a nice value to boot. Al Kohlman
