Question:
I have acquired a churn has a lid, but, the lid is solid. There is not a hole in the top. I am thinking it is not the right lid, it is solid with a little raised handle in the middle. The churn is marked with a number 4, standard union oval with two birch leaves beneath the oval (all in blue ink) Looking for age, lid info and estimate of value if possible. Thanks!
Answer: You are correct in regards to the lid not being correct for the churn. In today’s market, your churn without the lid would have a value between $175 & $200. Al Kohlman
