Question:
I have a Red Wing pot that was made in the 1920 or 30′s it was called the Cleveland pot as it was designed originally for a gift to Mrs. Grover Cleveland after it was presented to her the pot was reproduced minus the lion handles and in a differnt color from what I have found out so far. I would like a price on the item if possible and any more history that you may have. It is in great shape with no damage.

Answer: Your history on the Cleveland vase is quite good. The original Cleveland vase was given to Mrs Cleveland in 1887 when the Cleveland’s made a transnational railroad tour which passed through the city of Red Wing. Since that time there were copies of the original Cleveland vase made and later on derivatives without the loins head were produced as well. The later vases were produced in matte green, brushed stain, bright yellow & green. These vases were reproduce into the 1930′s, Value of your vase in today’s market is between $100 & $150. Al Kohlman
