Question:
I recently purchased a 15 gal redwing crock with the bee sting mark, no cracks or chips, excellent condition but have not been able to value it. Is there anyone that can give me some info. Thank you, Carole Stokes
Answer: Carole, a 15 gallon Red Wing salt glaze crock with what is commonly called a lazy 8 with a target mark (bee-sting) would have a value between $300 & $500 depending on how well marked and condition of the crock. This is a very common mark which was used by a number of Midwestern Stoneware Companies. Al Kohlman
