I have a Union stone mason fruit jar dated on bottom PAT Jan.24,1889. It is 7" tall and is in very good condition. The lid is a gray metal that is glass on the inside with the stamp "GENUINE BOYD’S CAP FOR MASON JAR".The print on the jar is in black. I cannot get my camera to download photo at this time. Answer: From what you have told me, it sounds like you have a 1/2 gallon Stone Mason Jar made by Red Wing. Value in mint condition is $250 to $275. Al Kohlman
