Question:
My mother rescued this bean pot from the garbage. Someone told me it might be a Red Wing. It has no markings on the bottom except 3 Qt. It has four sets of three slash marks equally spaced around the bottom circle. The handles are a twist design. The color is a yellowish, tan. The flowers are painted on top of the glaze (are not glazed over.) The lid has a few chips and a hairline crack. The pot is in good condition. Thanks for your help.

Answer: Sorry to say, but your mother’s bean pot is not Red Wing. Red Wing never put twisted handles on their bean pots. This is the first one like this I have seen and just have on idea of who may have manufactured it. Al Kohlman
