Question:
I bought a stoneware water cooler at an antique store and when I use it all the water seeps out of the crock. Does it need to be reglazed and who can I contact to do that?
Answer: Does your Red Wing water cooler have a crack or is the water seeping out of the spigot? If the water is coming out of the spigot, you may need to purchase a different spigot. If the water is coming from around the spigot, then you need to have a gasket placed on the outside and inside of the cooler on the threaded metal pipe which is attached to the spigot. I use the black water hose gaskets which can be purchased at any hardware store. Now if you think you need the water cooler re-glazed, then there is a problem as I know of now one who does this type of glazing. Hopefully that is not the problem. Al Kohlman
