Question:
I have a 10 gallon Red Wing water cooler with a unique advertising logo and would like to know it’s approximate value. The Red Wing is 4 1/4 inches long and the advertizing decal is a shade under 2 inches long. Thanks, Jim Fix
Answer: Jim, the advertising decal is really a Red Wing oval. These ovals were very common on the Red Wing crocks, jugs, churns and coolers. Now, I can’t tell if the lid is a crock lid or a Red Wing cooler lid, so I am going to break the piece down for you. The cooler itself in mint condition is around $600. Your spigot is a reproduction and is worth about $20. If the lid is mint and has the three blue lines and daisy petals then you have a 10 gallon Red Wing Cooler lid. That lid in mint condition is around $900. If no blue rings but has the daisy petals, it is most likely and 8 gallon bar handled crock lid. Value of it would be around $175 to $200. Hope this helps.
