Hi I recently purchased a button lid it is 23 inches wide and the inner rim is 17 1/2 inches. It is very solid but does have a X crack that does go through the lid the lid is not marked with a size. I was wondering if the lid is red wing and if you could give me an idea of the size and a value of what it might be worth? thank you paul

Answer: Paul, your lid is a Red Wing button lid. Being 23 inches across, I would guess it to be a 30 gallon lid. In mint condition, it would bring between $400 & $500. With the X crack you the value would be about half. Al Kohlman
