Question:
My mom has a large crock – it is 23inches high – 17 inches across (inside diameter – outside diameter is 19 inches) there is a faded 20 on the side. The inside is dark brown, the outside off white in color, there is an indented line circling the crock about 3/4 of he way up from the base. It is in great conditions – no cracks or peeling. There are no markings on the bottom to indicate where it was made. Any help on identifying this would be greatly appreciated as she would like to sell it, but has no idea of how much she should expect. Thanks for your help, Missy

Answer: Missy, without seeing a photo of your crock, I just have no idea of you the manufacturer may have been. With just a faded number 5 and not other markings, I would bet it is not Red Wing. Send me a photo and I will see if I can help you out. Al Kohlman
