Question:
I have an 8 gallon Red Wing butter churn without the lid which I would like to sell. It is marked with the blue number 8 and below that a red wing measuring 4" across. Below that is an oval stamp which reads Red Wing, Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing, Minn. There is a tight hairline crack on the rim just above the number 8. This churn measures 19 and 3/4 " in height. If you can give me a value I would very much appreciate it. Thank you!
Answer: Nice looking churn. Without knowing the length of the hairline or how noticeable I will do the best I can. If in mint condition, $1500 would be my best estimate on what I see. With the hairline (and not being able to see it on the photo) $1000. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
