Hi again,2 Advertising Buttercrocks 5 lbs & 3 lbs.Chicago company Humboldt Dairy.Nice blue markings The large one does have three hairlines and a few chips,but looks great. The 3 pound has only one hairline,almost perfect. I’d like a price estimate to help determine how much to pay for these. Payed $43 for the large one.Should I avoid damages pieces? Thanks!

Answer: Well, we would all love to have perfect pieces, but that is much easier said than done. Values do drop sharply on cracked pieces, but with good markings they still carry a value. With out seeing the damage up close, the value in my best guess would be between $50 to $75 for each. Al Kohlman
