Question:
Hello, I thank you for answering my questions before and if I may I have another. This crock belonged to my husband’s grandmother I thought I would ask about the approx. value is and if you could tell me more about Western Stoneware Co.? This piece is 13in in Diameter and a little over 12in in hieght. The crock also has handles. It has the number 5 on it and say it is Western Stoneware. The rim has some ware on it and it does have a sm hairline crack from the rim inside if that makes sense. The crack is about an inch long. I thank you for your time! Molly
Answer: Molly, the Western Stoneware Company closed a little over a year ago. These Western crocks are still quite easy to find and therefore their value is not as high as the Red Wing crocks. With the crack, you 5 gallon Western crock would have an approximate value of $50 to $60. Al Kohlman
