Question:
Hi, I have a few items that I need an estimated price for. One is a 1 quart stone mason with black labeling with the cover. Another is a 2 quart village brown green bean pot without a cover. Next a 1/2 gallon saffron bean pot with a cover. A 1/2 gallon wide mouth tomato or fruit jug. Last a 1 quart brown and white bailed bean pot with cover. All items are in mint condition. Also if you could tell me a lot about each item that would be great. Thanks, Aimee
Dinnerware Answer: The brown 2 quart Village Green bean pot missing its green cover is the only dinnerware item on your list. Village Green was introduced in 1951 and remained one of Red Wing’s most popular dinnerware patterns until the business closed in 1967. The 2 quart bean pot is a common, easy to find piece. The value of such a bean pot with the cover is $25 to $35. Without a cover the value is minimal, $5 to $10.

Stoneware Answer: Aimee, your 1 quart Union Mason fruit jar has a value of $225 and production began Jan 24, 1899. Your 1/2 gallon saffron Red Wing bean pot was produced in the 1930′s and has a value in the area of $100. The 1/2 gallon wide mouth tomato jug needs to be signed on the bottom. If signed the value is in the area of $75 to $100. Not signed $25. These were produced in the late 1890′s to the early 1900′s. Lastly your Red Wing Brown & White bailed 1/2 gallon bean pot again needs to be signed on the bottom. If signed they have a value between $100 & $125. If not signed the value is between $25 & $30. These bean pots were produced in the mid teens. Al Kohlman
