Question:
Hi again, I thank you so much for answering my two other questions and I come along to ask another. I bought this 3 gallon crock at an estate sale a couple of days ago and was wondering the history and value. I saw that it does have a marking but I don’t know if it’s a "B" or an "8". I also saw the chipping above the mark and there is a hairline crack inside which you may be able to see in the photo. Thank you so so much for having this site. I am new to the world of crocks so being able to come here with answers is a God send.:) Molly
Answer: Molly, the symbol on your crock looks to be an 8. Therefore it must be an 8 gallon crock. It is not Red Wing and I do not know the manufacturer. There wouldn’t be much value do to no decoration, a chip and hairline. My best guess would be $20 or less. Al Kohlman
