Question:
I have 2 items I would like your expert opinion on. First, A double advertising rolling pin, orange stripes-B.K. Kinseth, General Merchandise, Livermore, Iowa, perfect condition.
Second, A 3 pound pantry jar, with lid, advertising inside-Compliments,1927, Roberts Store,Cash & Carry, Minneota, Minn., no wing, perfect condition. Thanks
Answer: First, your rolling pin was not manufactured by Red Wing. From your description, it looks to be from the Western Stoneware Company. Even though not Red Wing, these advertising rolling pins are very collectible among stoneware collectors. Price range would be between $375 & $425.
The 3 pound pantry jar I am not quite sure if this is Red Wing or not with out a little more information or photo. Does it have the double lines on the top and bottom of the sides? Does the lids have petals or no petals and double lines at the edge of the lid and toward the center of the lid? If in deed Red Wing, the price range would be between $800 & $900. Al Kohlman
