Question:
We have 3 hall boy pitchers.they are listed in Lyndon Veil’s book on page 119.We are charter members. Are these red Wing?I never heard about them since. Are they valuable.

Answer: Your pitchers are not commonly found. They are also listed in the Red Wing Stoneware book by Dan DePasquale, Gail Peck & Larry Peterson as Mottled Pitchers. These pitchers are found in either blue or brown mottled glazes and come in 1/4 and 1/2 gallon size. They are identified by the knob on the top of the handle and placement of ridges in the sides of the pitchers. Red Wing Stoneware has them valued at $550 to $700 for the blue sponged and $600 to $700 for the brown sponged pitchers. You have a nice looking set of pitchers. I myself have not seem many of these around for sale. Al Kohlman
