Answer: Your Union Stoneware Mason Jars should have either a black or a blue label. Most of these fruit jars had a patent date on them of Jan. 24, 1899. These fruit jars were manufactured for a short time until the glass fruit jars became available. The Union Stoneware Mason Jars came in 1 gal, 1/2 gal & 1 qt sizes. The gallon fruit jar with blue ink is the most collectible of these jars. Your Stoneware Mason Jars in Mint condition are valued between $900 & $1100 depending on print color, and darkness and clarity of print. Al Kohlman
